Chinese students pretend to be Japanese in foreign countries

There is interesting news today from China.
Searchina, which is Japanese web news reporting local news of China, introduced an editorial from Chinese media ‘Sohu’.
In the editorial, the Chinese editor is saying “Chinese students in foreign countries are pretending to be Japanese in order to avoid discrimination.”
For example, when being talked to in Chinese language while shopping, if replied in Japanese language, suddenly the shop owner would change his attitude and even offer a discount price. As far as being Chinese, there are high chances of getting into trouble. That’s why Chinese people pretend to be Japanese.

“Not only in US Australia British France and Japan, but also in Thailand India Singapore, Chinese people are not welcomed therefore disguising Chinese nationality as Japanese nationality is a very common occurrence for Chinese students” says the editor.
And the editor continues insisting “The reason Chinese students are hated in foreign countries is because Chinese have high ability to learn therefore Chinese students look to be enormous rivals for westerners.

Hey! Wait a minute. Is the editor saying “Japanese students are not so smart that’s why Japanese don’t look to be rivals for westerners”? Hahaha. I don’t think that’s the reason for that.
It’s been well-known that South Koreans have been pretending to be Japanese in foreign countries especially when they get caught red-handed, they say “I’m Japanese!” but I am surprised to hear even Chinese are doing the same thing.
And why don’t Chinese students pretend to be Korean? Then you Chinese people know why. Chinese people don’t want to pretend Korean because Koreans are equally hated in any country. Hahaha. If Chinese people want to look for the answer, look at Koreans. They have many similarities to Chinese.

As the matter of fact, a recent survey conducted by Social Research National Institute in China resulted in that 7 out of 10 Chinese people hate Koreans.
This survey was questioning 1,500 Chinese people what they think about South Korean people.
According to the report, most of people who replied “I hate Koreans” were those who had ever traveled to South Korea before. When they traveled to South Korea, Chinese people found out the actual Korean people’s characters were far different from the Koreans in Korean dramas and got deeply disappointed and eventually became anti-Korean.

Speaking of Like and Hate, there was a survey conducted in Japan in 2015 questioning “Which nationality do you prefer to marry?” and “Which nationality you don’t want to marry?”
Please take a look at the image below.

As you can see, despite many countries hate US, but in Japan, US is the most popular country.
And of course Chinese and Koreans are most disliked people in Japan. Hahaha.
The result of survey became a hot topic in Korean web community and gave a huge disappointment to Korean people. Haha  But why they need to get disappointed while being the world number one anti-Japanese race?

According to the survey, the reason why Japanese people don’t want to marry Korean is because there are too many things, such as custom between families and also the army draft system, Japanese people can’t understand or accept. There was also a reason Japanese people didn’t like Korean foods.

You see, you might have been thinking Japanese and Koreans resembled to each other but in reality, Japanese people can’t understand Korean culture at all because there is no cultural connection between Japan and Korea. And in many cases the way of thinking is opposite from each other.
