APEC was closed last week. It was really funny.
There were so much psychological warfare going on.
China happens to be the host country for APEC this time so Chinese president Xi couldn't avoid Japanese prime minister Abe anymore. Hahaha.
But the fact president Xi and Abe were having the summit meeting made one country anxious. It was South Korea. Korea has been counting on China for being the Team Anti-Japan. But president Xi met Abe and had a talk. It was devastating for South Korea because Korea is now all left alone. And even president Xi said after the meeting with Abe,"From 2nd time meeting, you become my friend".

Anyway, today I'm going to show you a surprising news. This news really made Japanese people surprised. And it might also make you change the way you look at Japan during the merger.
This news was reported on Jan 16th 2013. I summarized the article in English below.

="We Taiwanese are facing the crisis of being engulfed by China now. The U.S has been indecisive attitude about Taiwan issue that left us 'No country people'." said 220 Taiwanese before the media in Japan on Dec 20th 2012.
"Purposes of visiting Japan this time are three. One is to visit Yasukuni shrine and carry out the memorial service for the Taiwanese who died during WW2 as Japanese soldiers. Second is to visit Emperor Hirohito's birthday ceremony being held at the Imperial Palace on Dec 23rd. And third is to ask Japanese government to merge with Taiwan again like they did to Taiwan before", said the leader of the group.
"We Taiwanese are all Japanese! We want to be 'Taiwan of Japanese emperor'. And we want our country Taiwan to be as a part of the United Japan, just like the United Kingdom.", said the leader.
It's flabbergasting us to hear Taiwan is still a part of Japan. But according to the journalist, there is no ground to deny their insist of Taiwan is still the part of Japan. Because Japan just let go of Taiwan territory at San Francisco Peace Treaty, but the primary rights of Taiwan still belong to Japan.
It's unclear how much people in Taiwan support their idea, but their fate will be all up to the U.S and Japan's decision.=

The link below is the actual news in Japanese language.

As you can see, Taiwanese love and appreciate Japanese people for the merger.
Taiwan and South Korea were equally treated and merged by Japan in the past. It was the United Japan. Please take a look at the image-2 below.
I drew the map of actual history of Taiwan and South Korea.
It all started from the war between Japan and China, called "First Sino-Japanese War". It is said the war was for the primary rights of Korean peninsula. The war lasted for 6 months and resulted in Japanese victory in 1895.
However, if you look at the actual history, South Korea was not merged with Japan after the war. See the image-2. Instead, Taiwan was merged with Japan immediately.
After the war from 1895 till 1910, for fifteen years, South Korea had not been merged with Japan. Why? Because Japan encouraged South Korea to be independent. Japan put South Korea under the governance of Japan but didn't want to merge with South Korea. Why? I don't know. Maybe Korean were dishonest liars and cheaters just like they are now. Hahahaha!
Anyway, South Korean had been asking and begging Japan to let South Korea to be the part of Japan like Taiwan. "Please! Please! We want to be like Taiwanese! We want to be Japanese citizen!!". But president Ito kept refusing their request. Then South Korean run out of their patient, and assassinated Prime minister Ito in 1909. Then from next year 1910, the merger began. It was all South Korean's wish and will.
Now you find out South Korean's lie. South Korean say,"Japan invaded South Korea and massacred Korean people!" Well, If that is true, "When? What year did that happen?" is the question for South Korean. But no Korean can answer the question.

Then, why S.Korean and Taiwanese are totally opposite despite they were both treated the same way by Japan?
Taiwanese love Japanese and appreciate Japan now.
Whereas S.Korean have hatred against Japanese.
The answer is quality of people.
Korean are racist liars and love hatred. That's their nature.
As long as South Korea cry aloud, ignorant people will give them
hands. South Korean people know how to control and manipulate people. Very malicious people South Korean are.
On the other hand, Taiwanese are honest people. Therefore, Taiwanese hate and loath South Korean. Maybe that's why Japan merged with Taiwan immediately after the war. Hahaha.

I want to show you very interesting confession from native South Korean. Her name is "O Sonfa". She is a professor at Takusyoku University in Japan.
Below is her confession quoted from her book.

"Korean look at Japanese people as nothing but money. Therefore, they always carry an attitude of 'You have to help me'. You think you'll be appreciated if you help them, but they don't.
On the contrary, they would yell and cuss at you 'I deserve only this much!?' if the help were small."
"Japanese people are ashamed of getting something from others for free without hard work. But Korean think if they got something for fee, it was all because of their talent. And this Korean way of thinking applies to politics too.
If Japan helps South Korea, Korean people think 'South Korea has so much value that Japan has to help' or 'Japan must be in deep trouble if Japan didn't help South Korea'. Therefore, you never can be appreciated by Korean people for your help."
Apology is the same. Apologizing with sincerity, which Japanese people do, doesn't work for Korean people, but instead, they say 'Why don't you express your apology with money'. And once you apologized or helped Korean, you would have to help and pay money to Korean forever."
"I was born and lived in South Korea until 26 years old. During that time, I never heard Japanese army forcefully abducted villagers. When I interviewed South Korean people in the project of 'Life during the merger', nobody said that they witnessed such a horrible treatment by Japanese army.
Nevertheless, this kind of false rumor was raised recently. It's so weird. It's a left wing or anti-Japanese activists in Japan raised this kind of false rumor. In the beginning, it was 'There might be' then, 'There must have been', in the end 'Yes! there was!'. There is no doubt that it escalated like that.
That's how the story of comfort women was formed in South Korea. And now Korean people believe comfort women."

O Sonfa is a very rare South Korean. Don't think Korean are like her. You don't find a Korean like O Sonfa. Maybe she is one in million of South Korean. Hahaha.

For the last, I'm going to show you another rare South Korean.
He is a professor in South Korea who experienced the merger.
He was interviewed by Japanese TV program. In the interview, he expresses deep appreciation for Japan and even misses the era of the merger.
It has English subtitles. So you can read what he says in English.
